Ez jó kérdés lehet, hisz itt régi idők ruháival fogunk foglalkozni és nem a mai értelemben vett sebészeti plasztikai dolgokkal! Aki ilyen ügyben kattintott ide, attól előre is elnézést kérek, nem célom a félrevezetés.
Szóval régen a tournure időszakban előszeretettel használták a ruhákra a plasztikus megjelölést, ez mit is jelent pontosan? Csupán annyit, hogy a ruhának olyan tökéletesen kell illeszkednie a viselőjére, mintha nem is különálló ruhadarab lenne, hanem egy második réteg bőr! Semmi gyűrődés, semmi elálló, lógó, hanyag vonalvezetés. Mint ma is akkor is az volt az idea, hogy a hölgyek úgy fessenek a való életben, mintha most léptek volna le egy divatképről ( s ahogy ma is jóformán lehetetlen utánozni a hétköznapi viseletben a kifutók modelljeit, ez akkor is komoly kihívás elé állította a varrónőket és az otthon ügyeskedőket).
Másik okom, hogy imádom a '70-es '80-as évek zenéjét, főleg a fordulóra eső szintetizoros első kísérleteket amik fura futurisztikus hangzásukkal még ma is csodálatosak tudnak lenni! Szinti boy rajongók kíméljenek :D Szóval a The Bugglesnek volt egy dala, Living in the plastic age, és ezt vettem figyelembe még a blog nevének a megválasztásában, mikor mindenféle gondolatok járkáltak a fejemben, hogy mi is legyen...

This is a good question, 'cos here we're going to talk about the fashions of the old age, not the newly proper plastic sergeries! Who entered here in this case I appologize, I'm not willing to decieve.
Now back in the bustle era they predilectionly used the title plastic for dresses, what does this mean exactly? Nothing less than that the dress must mach the wearer's body so perfectly that it rather is like a second skin, than a piece of clothes! No puckering, no tag, no skulking, no dishevelled tracing. Like now back then they had the same idea of ladies looking like they just stepped out from a fashion plate ( and like now back then it challenged the seamstresses and the home maders 'cos it's almost impossible to recreate the look on the catwalk).
My other reason is that I love the music of the '70s and '80s, especially the synth pop at the turn of the decade that with their futuristic sound still sound brilliant! Szinti boy fans please spare! :D So The Buggles had a hit Living in the plastic age and I kept it in focus when thinking of what to name this blog...
