Frizura, kalapok és egyéb kiegészítők 1868-'71/Coiffure, bonnets and other accessories
A hajfodrozat elrendezése, a kalapok és a mindennapi életben használt kiegészítők hűen tükrözték az adott ruha szellemiségét, vezérvonalát. A tournure időszak 20 évével sincs ez másként, bár sokan egy kalap alá veszik az egészet, ezeknek is a formái az uralkodó ruha divatot tükrözték vissza a kidolgozásukban! Nem lehet egy 1870-es fonatot vagy kalapot felvenni egy 1880-as öltözékhez, illetve fordítva sem, nem szabad olyan dolgot kiegészítőként magunk mellé venni ami meghaladja a korát!
The hairdressing, the bonnets and the accessories used in everyday's life reflected faithfuly the spirit of the toilettes, the direct shapeline. It's not different with the 20 years of the bustle period, tho' some take it in one hand, but these silhouettes mirrored regnal fashions in their work-outs! There's no way to pick up an1870s hat for an 1880s toilette, and vice versa an accessory mustn't be taken if it goes ahead of it's age!
Hajviselet:
Előszeretettel használtak vendéghajat, chignonokat a saját haj kipótlására, hogy elérjék a szépen magasra vagy hátra feltornyozott konty formát, vagy a díszesebb alkalmakra a belőle kilógó tekercseket, fonatokat. Bár általában a hölgyeknek hosszú haja volt, kevés volt az ebben az időben divatos dús hullámok és fonatok bedolgozásához. A választék elől középre esett és oldalra fésülték el majd onnan felfelé. Fiatal leányoknak 18 éves korig ha még nem kötötték be a fejüket, megengedett volt a kiengedett, laza frizura viselése, ám ezután már nekik is illett kontyot hordani. Férjezett asszonyok el se hagyhatták a házat kalap nélkül!
Kalapok:
Kicsik, finoman megülnek a fejtetőn, nyáron csipkével és virággal ékített szalma- télen tollal vagy prémmel díszített bársony kalapokat viseltek. Ezeket a kis kalapokat homlokon kissé előre is húzták, hogy a nagy kontynak teret engedjenek. Divatos volt a fanchion forma és férjezett vagy idősebb nőknek a főkötő formájú kalap, amin két oldalról széles megkötő szalag keretezte a bájos női fejecskéket, széleit csipkével vonták be a mégbűbájosabb hatásért. Főkötőket hordtak a reggeli ruhákhoz is, hajhálóval, nagymamák, idősebb hölygyek nappalra otthon is, estélyekre bálokra is díszesebb kivitelezésű, finom kis főkötőt hordtak fejékként. Sétához és uti ruhákhoz arcukat fátyollal fedték.
Hair-dressings:
They prefered to use hairpieces, chignons to arrange their own hair to create the bun prettiely mounted on the top or at the back, or they used these as twist of hair or as ringlets for ceremonial occassions. Tho' every lady had long hair, usually this wasn't enough to work out the plentifull twists and ringlets. The parting was in the middle in the front of the head and combed towards the sides and up. For young misses if unmarried it was allowed to wear the hair long and easiely 'till the age 18 but after that bun was proper. A married woman couldn't step through the door-step without a hat or bonnet with veil!
Bonnets and hats:
Small, neatly sitting on the top of the head, in the summer-time straw decorated with lace and flowers, during winter velvet trimmed with fur and decorated with feathers and autumnish flowers. They pulled down to the forehead this little bonnet to give some space to the big bun. The French "Fanchion" shape was fashionable and for older or married women bonnet with cap, the charming women's faces were framed with wide chin-ribbons stiched with lace. Caps were worn to the morning gowns with hair-net and also older ladies and grandmothers wore these all day long and richer ones for evening and ball toilettes. They covered their faces with veil for walkings and while travelling.

Kesztyűk, napernyők és legyezők:
A kesztyűk rövidkék voltak, általában épphogy fedték a csuklót, az alkar feléig ill. a könyékig érők már hosszúnak számítottak és jóformán csak a báli öltözetekhez viselték. Fehér színt nappali öltözetekhez is választottak, bár az elegáns hölgy ügyelt rá, hogy kesztyűje és kalapja színe az öltözékével egyezzen. Ekkoriban kezdett a natúr sárga árnyalatú -chamois- kesztyű elterjedni is a nappali ruhák viseletében. Estélyekre, bálokra csipkével és hímzéssel díszített kis kesztyűket vettek fel.
A napernyők kicsik voltak, általában túldíszítve fodrokkal, masnikkal és csipkékkel, sőt a gazdagabbak még hímzéssel is.
A legyezők is egyszerű kicsik voltak, nappalra festett, alkalmakra csipke vagy selyem gyöngyház vagy aranyozott vázon.
Gloves, parasols and fans:
The gloves were short, usually almost covering the wrist, those were considered as long gloves that reached up to the half of the lower arm or the elbow and these were almost only worn to the evening or ball toilettes. White was often chosen for daytime too, tho' a well dressed lady took care about that her gloves and bonnet matched with the color of the dress. The chamois, natural yellow shade gloves started to rise from this period for day wear. For evenings and balls rich gloves trimmed with lace and embrodiery were usual.
The parasols also were little, often over decorated with ruffles, bows and lace, opulents even with embroidery too.
The fans were simple and small for daily use with painted lapel, for occassions rich lace or silk on pearl-shell or goldened frame.

Cipők:
Marie-Antoinette korának a divatjának az utánzása visszahozta a magas sarkakat is. Otthon kényelmes papucs cipőt hordtak bőrből vagy szövetből , utcára magas szárú gombos vagy fűzős kis bőrcsizmát enyhe sarokkal. Nyáron ezek nyitottak voltak, vagy félcipőbe bújtak be. Szalonba, estélyre, bálba selyemmel, szaténnal borított magas sarkú cipőt viseltek, hímzéssel vagy masnikkal, csokrokkal, fodrokkal stb.-vel díszítve. Ezek rendszerint alacsonyabb kivágású félcipők voltak.
Shoes:
The imitations of Maire-Antoinette's age of fashion brought back high-heels too. At home they wore easy slipper-shoes from leather or cloth, for walking a short leather boot with buttons or lace-up and a small heel. At summer these were opened or instead of boot half-shoes were prefered. In the salon or for evenings and balls high-heel was used covered in satin or silk decorated with trimming or embrodiery. These were shaped as a low half-shoes.
