Abroncsok 1868-'71/Supporting-cages 1868-'71

A megfelelő sziluett kialakításában az abroncsos szoknyáknak van a legfontosabb szerepük! Nem szabad őket alábecsülni vagy elhagyni, mert egy jó tournure nélkül nem ér semmit az egész öltözék.

Mint azt az előző bejegyzésben írtam, 1868-ra teljesen összement a krinolin, kisebb kúp alakú formát vett fel, szóval a hagyományos harang alakú krinolinok itt már szóba sem jöhetnek. Habár a fart emelték ki ezeket a szoknyákat is még krinolinos szoknyáknak nevezték és csak azokra az abroncsokra használták a tournure vagy dúz elnevezést amik kizárólag csak a hátsó fertályt emelték ki, az acél abroncsok nem fonták körbe, már ha volt benne mert dúzokat előszeretettel készítettek szimplán lószörből, befodrozva, feldudorozva, hengerekbe görgetve stb. hogy kényelmes könnyed tartást biztosítsanak a felső szoknyáknak.

Íme 4 példa ezen változatokra 1868-ból a Magyar Bazárból:

In shaping the time accurate silhouette the hoop skirts play an important role! These mustn't be underrated or neglected, because without a good tournure the whole gown doesn't worth a thing.

As I have written in the previous article the crinoline shrank by 1868, taking a smaller cone-shape so the conventional bell-shape crinoline don't work anymore. Tho' these hoops supported the backside they were still called crinolines and they used the title tournure or bustle for those supporting that exclusively supported the backside, the steel hoops didn't meet at the front, if there were any in them because bustles were made in high favour from horse hair without steel string , with ruffles, bulges or rolling it in barrel-shape etc. to create a comfortable light support for the upper layers of the skirt.

1869-től a krinolinos szoknyát és a dúzt is egyre célszerűbb kiszerelésekben - tanulva az előző év hasznos és haszontalan újításaiból - kezdték el gyártani. Fűzős részt dolgoztak be a far mögé amit összehúzva lehetett állítani a dúz méretén ill. megakadályozta hogy az abroncs előre simuljon és lelapuljon.

A Divat-ból 1869-ből egy tournure és az új fél-krinolin leírással:

From 1869 crinoline and bustles were produced more practicaly - learning from last year'benefits and failures of innovations. A lacing panel was inserted behind the buttocks, the size of the bustle could be fastened with strings also preventing the hoop to fall forward and disinflate.

Tournure:

Ez a tournure praktikusabb és egyszerűbb, mint mind a többi eddig bemutatott. A tournure egészen egyenes kelmerészből van és mintánkon 22 cm magas és 100 cm hosszú vörös gyapjúkelméből van, 2és fél cm-nyi egyforma távolságra 1 cm széles fehér szalagok varratnak fel összehúzásra. Azután egy hoszszélt sűrű ráncokba szedünk, 50 cm hosszúságra összehúzzuk s passepoillal egyenes szegés közé varrjuk. Mindkét oldalszél az alsó szegést is oda számítva szintén 3 cm széles szegést nyer melyet feltűzdelünk. A bal oldalon minden oldalszegés felvarrást felvarrt szalag fedi be, de mely a húzószegések végét szabadon hagyja. Az alsó szegés felvarrására végig még egy hatodik szalagot varrunk fel. Most az acél abroncsokat behúzzuk s a végeken jól levarrjuk. A legalsó abroncs 50, a második 57, a harmadik 58, a negyedik 55, az ötödik 53 és a legfelső 43 cm hosszú. Most a felső szélt is 34 cm bőségig összehúzzuk, szegést varrunk reá s szalagokkal kötésre ellátjuk. A tournure belsejében még két fűzőrészt alkalmazunk fehér shirtingből. Minden 18 cm magas és 13 cm széles részt halcsonttal és 7 lyukkal elláttatik, alul beszegetik s fölül 8-10 cm bőségig összehúzatik.

Tournure:

This tournure is more practical and simplier than the ones displayed earlier. The tournure is made of a realy straight pice of fabric and in the sample it's made of a 22 cm wide and 100 cm long red woollen, 2 and half cm equally apart from each other 1 cm wide white casings are sewn in for gatherings. Afterwise one of the long sides is shirred densely, gathered to 50 cm length and sandwich it between flat facings with piping. Both side edges and including the bottom hem too, also gain a 3 cm wide facing with slip-stitches. On the left edge every side stitching is covered with a ribbon, but leaving free the end stitches for gatherings. To face the lower hem all along yet a sixth ribbon is stitched up. Now insert the steel strings and sew them strongly on the edges. The lowest steel string is 50, the second 57, the third 58, the fourth 55, the fifth 53 and the uppermost is 43 cm long. Now gather the upper side to 34 cm wide too, sew facing on it and tapes for bonding. Add two lacing panels at the inside of the tournure now from white shirting. Every 18 cm high and 13 cm wide panel should be inserted with baleen and 7 holes, face it at the bottom and gather it at the top into 8-10 cm wide.

Félkrinolin szoknyával:

A krinolin folytonos uralmáról azon figyelem kezeskedik, melyben még mindig a divat által részesül. Így egy újabb nemét is van alkalmunk bemutatni, mely Párizsból a napokban érkezett -neve félkrinolin s fehér batisztból van, azonfelül pedig még egy szoknyával kiegészítik. A krinolin két asalyformályú hátszélből és két csak kevéssé rézsútozott oldal szélből áll. Az előszélt 9 cm magas kelmecsík helyettesíti. Az alsó bősége 170-172 cm, minden hátsó szél 20 cm felső és 45 cm alsó szélességű s 77 cm hosszúságú, minden oldalszél 17 cm felső, 21 cm alsó szélességű és 73 cm hosszú. A két körülmenő, s a három az oldalszélen befejeződő abroncshoz jó vászonszalagot tűzdelünk alá. Az alsó széltől 7 cm-re s még 4 cm-vel mélyebbre egy-egy szalagot varrunk alá két abroncs számára, melyek fölött behúzás után a kelme ráncozottnak látszik, a felső abroncsnak 80, az alsónak 70 cm-t kell mérnie. Az oldalszélen végig szalag varrja le az 1 és fél cm széles abroncsokat, azután a szoknyát ráncba szedjük s gumi szalagra varrjuk, mely húzó szalagokkal van ellátva. Díszítésül a szoknya alsó szélén 9és fél cm széles fodrot nyer szegéssel s languettirozott fodrocskával a legfelső abroncson, 10 cm-re az előli széltől egy a két oldalon felvarrt gumi szalag eszközli azt, hogy a krinolin hátrafelé lép. Az e krinolint kiegészítő 12-14 cm-rel hoszabb szoknya, sima öt szélből álló felsőrészt s 38 cm széles, 360 cm bő fodrot mutat. Annak elrendezése a félkrinolin keskeny fodrának megfelel. A sima szoknyarész 180 cm alsó s 40 cm felső bőségű az alul 42 felül 34 cm széles elöli szél fölül kigömbölyíttetik 3 cm széles kelmerésszel elláttatik s gomb lyukakkal bír az oldal nyíláson. Szintén dupla gumiszalag közé, mint a krinolint varrjuk a hátsó szoknyaszéleket.

Crinolette with petticoat:

Crinoline's uninterrupted reign is warranted by that attention fashion still shares it. So we have the oppotrunity to show a new form of it, arrived in the last days from Paris - called crinolette and made from white lawn, and additionally completing it with another underskirt. The crinolette is made from two gore-shaped back parts and has two lesser bias edged sides. The front part is replaced by a 9 cm high piece of cloth. The bottom fullness is 170-172 cm, every back part is 20 cm at the top and 45 cm wide at the bottom, and 77 cm long, the side parts are 17 cm wide at the top and 21 cm at the bottom, and 73 cm long. The two full round, and the three half round hoops ending at the side parts are inserted into strong linen casings. 7 cm from the bottom and 4 cm deeper stitch two tapes for two hoops, above which after pulling the tapes the fabrics looks bouffant, the upper hoop is 80 cm, the lower is 70 cm long. On the side edges a tape supports all way long the 1 and half cm wide hoops, afterwise the skirt is pin-tucked and attached to an elastic band, which is supported with drawstrings. As for trimming, at the hem of the skirt add a 9 and half cm wide ruffle with facing and with a languetted frill at the uppermost hoop, from 10 cm off the front sides an elastic band stitched on both sides supports that the crinolette stays at the back. This crinolette is completed with a 12-14 cm longer petticoat, made of five simple parts and decorated with a 38 cm wide and 360 cm long ruffle. The arrangement is similar as the narrow ruffle on the crinolette. The simple underskirt part is 180 cm bottom and 40 cm upper wide, curved around the front's 42 cm bottom and 34 cm upper width and a 3 cm wide fabric band stitched on it and has button closure at the side split. The petticoat's back parts are also sandwiched between double elastic bands, just as the crinolette's.

Az 1870-71-es év nem nagyon hozott változást, ugyan abban a formában használták továbbra is félkrinolint ill. a dúzt, hogy megadják a ruháiknak a szükséges bőséget, a kívánt formát. A fókusz még mindig azon volt, hogy a természetes női idomokból ne látszódjon semmi, a nők csípője, comba még jópár évig rejtve marad a kíváncsi férfiszemek elől. A krinolinos korszak hatása igencsak érezteti magát ezen a korai időszakon ahogy fokozatosan alakították át a ruhatárakat.

The 1870-'71 years didn't bring much change in the supports, the half-crinoline and the bustle was still in use in an indifferent shape to create the necesserary fullness and shape the toilette. The focus was still on to stop to show anything from the natural female curves, from the hip and the legs, these remain undercover for another few years from gazing men's eyes. The aftermath of the hoop skirt period works on strongly in these years as they renewed the wardrobe year by year.
